Thank you for introducing a writer who sounds up my street! It’s the fact that he’s a psycholgist which is the hook for me. And I can really see the irony in what he says here:

“As a writer, I hope to create tension. As a psychologist, I’m puzzled by why people want to feel it,” says RJ, who practices in Nashville. “The same factors people detest in their day-to-day lives – time pressure, high stakes, physical danger, potentially catastrophic outcome – keep people glued to a story.”

Food for thought, and he’s on my reading list now :>)

Looking forward to reading the book, especially as someone in the mental health field. Love the comparison of the two travelers at the airport. It’s always up to us how we respond to our {similar} situations.
