I wanted to outlast my wife that had Alzheimer’s, because I wanted to care for as long as I was able. She passed nearly 3 years ago after a fabulous 58 years together. I’ve ridden road bikes for years and at 83 am continuing to put a few thousand miles in, each year. I hope to bag 3,000 miles again this year. I do 2 days at the gym each week with my long time trainer for upperbody work. I hang with younger folks because they don’t complain and ride faster than I and are more fun to be around!

I do have to admit that I was eating an oatmeal cookie that my husband had just backed.
both my husband and I are 73. We move every day in a few different routines. My husband speed walks along the river, I’m more indoor workouts. Two years ago we moved from So.CA to Cuenca Ecuador. I’m learning Spanish, relaunched a blog I had not touched in 5 years. And yes, I agree, make friends, we came here and knew one person. Now, we know most of the town!! And love it.
